An example of which being that everything except the most pathetically inept militia (and the Ottomans, of course) can fire by rank. Don't know about you but when I played vanilla I almost never saw a full army that big! So when two and a half thousand men and twelve guns are a bit of extra wall fodder I'm all over that. I'm about to siege Vienna and the AI knows it - they've got two full stacks (80 units) AND an allied Russian stack, so I've just sent some reinforcements to join Napoleon - 3 12lber batteries (will bring the total to 9), 2 attack columns (1000 men total), 2 voltigeur brigades (640 men total) and 5 Line Grenadier brigades (1900 men total). I'm in the middle of a campaign as France and the average battle has about 5 - 10 thousand men.
